Information from Crispy:
Greetings my brethren.
I have plans finalized for the wake that I would like to hold in Phil’s honor.
A number of people have asked me, since I first posted the idea, as to what a wake actually is. For those that still do not know it is a celebration of the person we knew. Funerals are generally the grim reality of a situation, where as with a wake we find and discuss all of those happy memories that we hold of our friend. We drink, we eat, we remember. We reminisce.
This Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, at 7pm in the home of Kismet, we will remember our friend, our brother.
In general, the wakes are sort of a pot luck affair. Bring anything you want to eat, or you want others to eat. If you plan on drinking, then you are responsible for that as well. What is most important, is that you bring your thoughts and memories about Phil.
Sorry this letter isn’t more eloquent, but it is to the point. It is all I have right now. Below is the address for Kismet’s. Map it as needed. If you plan on coming, please let me know, so that she can get a feeling for how many people she will have in her home. If you cannot come, it will be understood, so please don’t worry. We all have our own ways. If you want to reach me on my cell, feel free. We are family, and we are here for one another. Please never forget that.
The webgeeks have also set up a permanent online memorial for Phil using all the images of him we could find. This way, he’ll always have his own corner of the universe. techops.net/phil
Godspeed, sir. We remain honored to have known you, and you will be missed.
